This house is located in Fukuoka, Japan. There is a lot of nature around the site. The client is a married couple and they have two children. The father is often away from home because of his job. So it’s important that the house has security features. In general, when we consider the security of buildings, sometimes it’s closed to outside.  So we have to balance openness, livability and security on this project. We thought this house should be a flat house.Save this picture!© Techni StaffBecause the site is located on a little higher ground than other houses. Considering that, it’s better to be a low building. For these reasons, we planned the house which is opened to the inside. So we place a living and dining room in the center of the site. After that, we planed children’s rooms, a bath room and a kitchen around there. We think it’s like a camp. Everyone pitches a tent around the living and dining room. And we planned a wide passage with a wooden lattice around the rooms.Save this picture!© Techni StaffSave this picture!Floor PlanSave this picture!© Techni StaffIt’s like a porch. They also can come and go every rooms using this passage.  Making this lattice, the passage  can be outside space not only inside space. That gives a new value to it.  And the lattice works like a screen. It protects their privacy. In this way, every room harmonizes with outside gently, so this house can be small, but not cramped.Save this picture!© Techni StaffProject gallerySee allShow lessHangzhou East Railway Station / CSADISelected ProjectsLyttelton Studio Retreat / Bull O’Sullivan ArchitectureSelected Projects Share 2014 Photographs ArchDaily ShareFacebookTwitterPinterestWhatsappMailOrhttps://www.archdaily.com/776666/house-u-movedesign Clipboard Year:  CopyAbout this officeMOVEDESIGNOfficeFollowProductsWoodSteelConcrete#TagsProjectsBuilt ProjectsSelected ProjectsResidential ArchitectureHousesMunakataJapanPublished on November 09, 2015Cite: “House U / MOVEDESIGN” 09 Nov 2015. first_img 7SHARESShareShareSharePrintMailGooglePinterestDiggRedditStumbleuponDeliciousBufferTumblr by: Casey BondToday I’m celebrating the last birthday of my twenties. I can’t say that I’m feeling any wiser (older? I’d rather not talk about it). But if you ask my friends and family, they’d probably say I’m pretty far ahead of the curve when it comes to my finances.Sure, I’ve been writing about personal finance for the better part of my adult life, but that’s not to say all this money wisdom didn’t come without some serious trial and error. You learn a lot on the way to thirty. I’ll spare the more colorful life lessons — here’s the financial guidance I can provide, based on experience.1. It’s better to invest in staples than continue buying cheap crap. Somewhere around my 16th pair of $20 black pumps, I realized I should shell out for the $100 version that might last more than two months. Spending more money is worth it if you invest in quality, lasting products, rather that spending $20 here and $40 there for cheap pieces that need replacing. continue reading »last_img read more
